| In Canada, an author visit teller Indian Pi Patel and asked to tell their life story. Pi tells the story of his childhood in Pondicherry, India, and the origin of its name. One day, his father, owner of a zoo, explained that the municipality is not supported at the zoo and therefore decided to move to Canada , where the family has pets well be, sold. They board a Japanese freighter with animals and, suddenly, there is a storm, followed by a shipwrecking. Pi survives on a lifeboat with a zebra, an orangutan, a hyena and a Bengal tiger male nicknamed Richard Parker. They are adrift in the Pacific Ocean, with aggressive hyena and Rickard Parker getting hungry. Pi to find a way to survive. |
